Norway

Location
The latitude and longitude of Norway are 62•N and 10• E.
It is west of Sweden.
It is northeast of the North Sea.
Place
Physical Characteristics: A lot of Norway consists of mountains, along with geographical features caused by glaciers, one of which are fjords. Since the Gulf Stream affects southern and western Norway, the climate there is warmer and has more precipitation.
Human Characteristics: The population is about 5 million people, and the capital is Oslo. The Norwegian culture is very rich. It consists of a lot of creative thinkers, such as the writer, Henrik Ibsen, who wrote many plays and books. Another aspect of the Norwegian culture is that people are very modest. It is considered bad to show off, as opposed to in the U.S.
Human Environment Interaction
Humans Affect Environment: Water pollution is from acid rain, which damages the forests and lakes. Air pollution is from cars letting out chemicals into the atmosphere.
Environment’s Response: The temperature in Norway has risen about .9•C. The glaciers, which in the past has increased due to the larger amount of snowfall, is now melting.
Movement
People: Trains, airplanes, and roads are the most commonly used modes of transportation. There used to have been a lot of boats to travel with, but now it is mainly used for as ports for goods. The reason for this is Norway's geography and low density of people.
Goods: The main exports for Norway are petroleum, fish, and aluminum. The main imports are cars, petroleum, ships, computers, and nickel.
Ideas: Norway has ventured into the world in the past, which lets the country expand out and spread their culture. Norway, along with many, many other countries, have foreigners that travel to see what the country has in store for them. Culture can spread that way.
Region
Norway is in Northern Europe.
Northern Europe is filled with highly developed countries. The climate is also not as bad as people assume it is. This can lead one person to live in Northern Europe because they realize Norway is not always cold and freezing.
